It is the perfect ingredient to give adrenaline, competition and fun to those who consider themselves experts in gastronomy and national recipes.
With “Chefmania Contest” there are numerous questions on different topics, from appetizers to first and second courses, from desserts to specialties, not forgetting the unfailing drinks such as wine, beer and typical liquors. The pleasures of the table are the protagonists of a competition dedicated to men and women of all ages who love to have fun together and challenge each other in an atmosphere of healthy competition.
No special skills are required: the important thing is to keep calm and be ready to answer the questions that appear on the big screen together with the other members of your team. This is not just a simple multimedia quiz, but a unique gamification experience!
This format is achieved through advanced hardware and software that allow participants to be actively involved in fun interactive and multimedia activities.
You can participate individually or in teams to make the challenge even more compelling among groups of friends or work teams. The presenter will read the questions on the big screen and propose possible answer options to the participants.
The format is conducted from one’s table or seat, using wireless push buttons, so that even the usually more reserved people are involved. Participants are actively involved in answering questions and choosing the answer they think is correct.
In between questions, you can have fun with interactive games, such as the“Photopuzzle” to find out which dish is hidden behind the puzzles and the“Mystery Phrase” to guess a phrase or saying about cooking or culinary traditions.
After each question, the software processes the results in real time and displays them on the screen relative to that specific question. At the end of the test, each participant can view his or her position through the overall ranking with the scores obtained based on the total answers given.

Chefmania: how it works
GENERAL RULES
Each participant or team is provided with a wireless hand control. After each question is displayed, one has a set amount of time to read the proposed answer options and type on the button pad the key corresponding to the answer one believes to be correct. Scoring is administered by automatic calculation by the electronic system based on the accuracy of the answers provided by the push-button panels and their response times.
CONTENT CUSTOMIZATION AND SETTING
You can customize content and mode through entering the number of heats and number of questions for each heat. You can also choose whether to reset scores between heats or add them up for the second heat. The challenge mode can be individual, team, or group, with the option to register participants anonymously or by name. It is also possible to insert a custom slide at the beginning of the Format provided by the client.
FORMAT AND CONTENT
Questions can be textual, photographic or video. You can customize questions by inserting your own content, respecting the length limits. There can be a maximum of 5 answers. Comments on the correct answer can be entered after the results screen related to the individual question. Photo questions can include a photo anticipated or displayed at the same time as the question itself. Video questions may be accompanied by a reference video.
RANKING AND RESULTS
You can set the response time from 10″ to 30″. After the question is read, the possible answers are displayed and the countdown starts at the same time. When the time expires, the correct answer is highlighted and results are shown regarding the number of participants who answered correctly, incorrectly, abstained, or answered out of time. You can view the scores obtained for each question. The last 5 questions of each round can be played in the dark, without showing the results. At the end of the test, you can view the final standings with total scores and, if desired, activate an animation for the top 2 finishers. You can also associate photos or pictures with participants or teams for additional personalization.
